Father’s day is in four days on June 18th and dads deserve a gift too on their day. I wanted to share with you some gift ideas for the awesome dads in your lives. These are all the things that my hubby loves and that I have gotten him in the past. They can be found at the mall or you can order them online with a second day delivery option. My hubby already got his gift for father’s day; we are not very keen on surprises. He got a smoker he has been obsessing over for a few years now. Here is the smoker and other ideas:
We got the smoker from Home Depot, we haven’t tried it yet but I will review it when we do. It is electric and has a digital option where you control it from an app on your phone. There was another cheaper smoker option available but it does not have the glass door so you cannot see through it and does not have the digital option, but it is still good. This is an example of it here. You can also get him a BBQ, maybe you have a propane one and need a small charcoal one. You can even get BBQ accessories or BBQ Sauce , or an apron for fun 😀
This could be an apple watch or a non-digital watch. Here are a few watch options that I absolutely love!
A polo shirt or some shorts for the summer will do the trick if he needs to refresh his summer wear. I recently got my hubby these two polos. The Lacoste one is my favorite, I like the French Connection one too but it is a bit of a slimmer fit.
- Gym gear
My hubby recently went to the gym in his cargo shorts. I asked him why!! And he said that he doesn’t like his workout shorts because they don’t have pockets. I totally agreed and went and got him Adidas shorts with pockets right away.
You can never go wrong with a tie if he likes to dress up for work or church. Here are a few really nice options. Skinny ties are the best for the modern look.
These could be any kind. Workout shoes, dress up, or slide sandals which every man needs for the pool or for after the shower.
If he is into hiking or any outdoor sports I am sure he would appreciate a backpack with lots of pockets or maybe a small drawstring backpack for a short hike. I got the Oakley for my husband a few years ago which he has taken with him skiing and used as a carry on when traveling. And, the Nike bag, I got for my brother who uses it on hikes to hold water and snack.
This is a bit difficult, but if he has been eyeing some shades that he has already tried on it would be easier. Ray bans usually fit everyone.
My personal favorite colognes are the following.
I know right? Boys and their toys! Some options are the flying drone with camera or without, a remote control car or boat, or the BB-8 robot. My daughter loves to chase the robot around and gets so scared from the drone (in a funny way).
I think men could also be gifted flowers, why not? It is not just a feminine gesture. If you get them to your hubby then you could all enjoy them in your home. My husband is especially into bonsai trees. If you want to see the one we got from Ikea check out my Friday Finds from a few weeks back.
- Skin care products
Most men I know would never buy this for themselves even if they need it. The truth is, every man needs a good face wash or body wash, and if he shaves; he needs an aftershave.
It would be so sweet to print pictures of your man with your kids and frame it. I am sure anyone would appreciate it.
- Car wash
It really is all about the little things. But being busy parents I am sure the car has been neglected. Taking time to wash the car or taking it to the car wash can go a long way.
I hope you find these ideas useful and that you spend some fun quality time pampering the very deserving dads in your lives.
